alphabet soup [06 May 2004|12:28pm]
[ mood | contemplative ]

It's not very unique, no... but I'm considering making a series of letter illustrations. 26 in total, of course, though I wonder how to do it. I want to include animals- this is a must, because I LOVE animals, and this is supposed to be fun.

1. Character Names.
-I could find 26 of my characters with names starting with the letters A - Z, though I might have some difficulty with some. Still, there's always making names up...
2. Dog/Cat Breeds.
-I could attempt to find a dog or cat breed for each letter, and draw them respectively.
3. Animals.
-Standard A is for Aligator, R is for Raptor kind of thing...

Anyone have any ideas? I hope to do these all real-media, unless I can figure out how to use illustrator.

:: a cat's life :: [09 Mar 2004|11:37am]
[ mood | okay ]

So there's this cat. And the scene opens in her living room. Soft, pale light from the windows, no lights on save for the glowing from the computer monitor. This is very Noir-esque, down to the anime-styling of the main character. The gentle background music is interrupted by the sound of a 'you've got mail' kind of thing. Soon, our heroine moves over to check it. The music starts up then... island-y.
Show the girl reading the message on the screen, expression changing from curious to concerned. Then, pan out to show her surroundings... A nice little apartment/condo with palm trees swaying near by...

Voiceover: I am similar to the legend of Kitsune; transforming my form to accomplish specific goals.

Back in the house. The girl goes behind a curtain and removes her clothing. Only shadows shown.

Voiceover: I am what they call a 'guardian'. I receive assignments that fit my skills, and do my best to fulfill them.

She steps out, covered in fur, and reaches up to pull the clips from her hair, letting it down around her shoulders.

Voiceover: I guess you could call me a super-hero of sorts. That's what I do; I save lives from evil. My new assignment was one of a most urgent nature...

Thus, the transformation. Within moments, the anthropomorphic kitty-girl transforms into a young cat, with a fluffy tail and everything. She stretches out, and shakes her fur, showing that she wears a little necklace with a pearl pendant around her neck, before getting in pouncing position, and pouncing at the camera.

Start cute song... Japanese Import Pokemon CD Track #6. This is the credit/intro, full of cute shots of kitty animation with all of the credits that will be used, and so on. Flowers... show set-up shots of where she's going.

The destination is across the ocean well in to a main land. Dark. Kind of like Sleepy Hollow. Archaic... but... not.

More later. o_O

story collection [29 Jan 2004|10:58am]
[ mood | plotting ]

What I would like... is to have enough finished, quality stories and poems and so on to publish a little portfolio. I've made three in my lifetime, and the third one is my favorite, and I still look through it from time to time. Wouldn't it be awesome if someone liked my writing enough to BUY a little book of collected stories and things? That would totally rock.

Also- want to be a children's storybook writer/illustrator. MUWAHAHA!

So, like... Final Fantasy-esqe.

Tiny pikachu. Fighting brother. Old man goes through door. Pianos play by themselves. Applaud with the music. Get to the end. Panda people. Have to sing.

calendars #2 [12 Dec 2003|09:00am]
[ mood | amused ]

Talked to Nikki... she said she'd help me make it and print it and even package them! So I asked around the office and got ahold of a calendar that I'm now in the process of taking apart to see how it's put together, and how many pages are in it, and so on... This is kind of exciting, really. Wouldn't it be cool if this really seemed to make some kind of a difference? I mean, not like, changing the world difference.. but like, if this really took off a little and I got someone to buy one and people were excited about them? That would be so neat...

Anyway... going to take this calendar apart right now. Mebbe I'll update later with more info- specific info.

toasty toast [10 Dec 2003|04:07pm]
note to self- steal the idea back that you gave to reddingo about making a website about toast. Here are the specs:

title: toasty toast
desc: about all of the neat stuff you can put on toast
color scheme: tans, browns, greys, ivory, subdued greens, purples, and blues
idea: fun, boxy layout.

wooh! Toasty! I could put it up on lesyeuxbleus!

OOOh. Calendars! [07 Dec 2003|11:19am]
[ mood | excited ]

I'm going to pick an animal (the first will be raccoons, second will be foxes), draw 12 pictures of 'em, and get Aisling to help me print it as a calendar... then I'll sell prints of them on Ebay, and advertise on Yerf and stuff. It's exciting. Yay. I am teh clever. :P

Project #1 - Tibek's Christmas Present [06 Dec 2003|05:17pm]
[ mood | amused ]

Now, we all know that I'm poor, and that Tibek likes sheep. Thus, I am working on a project that will contain sheep and be for her Christmas present (along with a few other things). MUWAhHAHAa, I am a GENIUS! Or something like that. Must work on the story and so on. Hee!
